Caper is an interface to a set of smart contracts on the Radix network. These terms cover your use of caper.network. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.
What Caper is, and is not
Caper publishes a website and a set of open smart contracts. Through them you can create a caper, fund one, trade its token on a bonding curve, vote on proposals, and exit. Every one of those actions is a transaction you sign in your own wallet and the network executes.
Caper is non-custodial. We never hold your keys, never hold your funds, and cannot move, freeze, reverse, or recover them. We cannot execute a transaction on your behalf, and we cannot undo one you signed. If you lose access to your wallet, we cannot restore it.
Caper is not a broker, dealer, exchange, custodian, investment adviser, or financial institution, and does not act as any of those for you.
Nothing here is advice
Nothing on this site – including wiki pages, essays, proposal text, charts, token pages, and anything written by another user – is financial, investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold anything. Get your own professional advice before you commit money.
Risk
Read this section properly. It is the part that costs money if you skip it.
- You can lose everything. Tokens launched through Caper have no floor, no guaranteed buyer, and no protected value. Treat every amount you commit as an amount you can afford to lose entirely.
- Smart contract risk. The contracts may contain bugs. A bug can lock or destroy funds permanently. Deployed contract code cannot be patched the way a website can, and no audit removes this risk.
- Price mechanics. A caper's token price is set by a bonding curve, not a market maker or an order book. Price moves with every buy and sell, and the amount you can exit with depends on the state of the curve and the treasury at the moment you exit – not on what you paid.
- Governance risk. Capers are governed by their holders. Proposals can move treasury funds, change what a caper does, and produce outcomes you voted against. Voting weight is a function of holdings and participation, and organised holders can direct a treasury.
- Founder risk. Anyone can create a caper. Caper does not vet, verify, endorse, or audit the capers on this site, the people behind them, or anything they claim. A caper page is authored by its own members. Do your own research.
- Network risk. Radix is a public network Caper does not operate or control. Congestion, halts, forks, validator failures, and network fees are outside our control and can prevent a transaction from confirming.
- Regulatory risk. The legal treatment of tokens and on-chain organisations is unsettled and differs by country. It can change with no notice, retroactively, and in ways that affect what you hold.
Eligibility
By using Caper you confirm that:
- you are at least 18 and can enter a binding contract;
- you are not subject to sanctions, and are not acting for anyone who is, under any applicable sanctions regime;
- your use of Caper is lawful where you live, and you are not using it from a jurisdiction where it is prohibited;
- you are not using Caper to launder money or finance anything criminal.
Your account
You sign in by proving you control a wallet address. That address is your identity on Caper. You are responsible for everything done through it and for keeping your keys and your device secure. Sign a transaction only after you have read what it does.
Content you publish
Caper hosts a wiki. Members can write pages, revise them, and comment. When you publish, you keep ownership of what you wrote and grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute it as part of the site.
You agree not to publish content that:
- infringes anyone's copyright, trademark, or other rights;
- is unlawful, defamatory, or harassing;
- impersonates a person or organisation, or misrepresents your connection to one;
- is designed to deceive readers into signing a transaction or revealing a seed phrase, key, or credential;
- contains malware, or attempts to attack the site or its users.
Wiki history is append-only by design: revisions are kept as a public record. We may remove content that breaks these terms, and a caper's founder may moderate comments on their caper's pages.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, interfere with its operation, scrape it in a way that degrades it for others, or bypass rate limits. Automated access to the public MCP and llms.txt endpoints is welcome within the published limits.
Availability and warranties
The site and the contracts are provided as-is and as-available, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any defect will be corrected.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Caper and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of funds, tokens, profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the site or the contracts – including losses caused by smart contract defects, price movement, governance outcomes, third-party capers, or your own transactions.
Changes
We may change these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and continuing to use Caper after a change means you accept it.
